Lots of daylight and proper ventilation using roof lighting and sustainable natural ventilation

In the new production hall of Solarlux in Germany, a decent interior climate was the priority. Kingspan Light + Air Germany installed natural ventilation systems and glazed roof lighting to achieve an optimal interior climate.

Daylight

For Solarlux, daylight is important for a pleasant working environment. This has been realised through the daylight systems at the various buildings of the production companies, using conservatories, folding walls and sliding systems. Kingspan Light + Air installed 8  Arcilite glazed Northern lights roof lighting 30/60°.


Cantilever windows and sustainable slatted grates

The roof lighting is integrated with 28 Ventria ventilation windows for smoke extraction and natural ventilation. There is also a highly sustainable natural ventilation system made up of 120 Optima louvred vents. These flap ventilators are fully thermal. 32 of these Optima louvred vents have a special format, with two flaps, each with a chain motor.
