Morocco Mall in Casablanca, which is due for completion very soon, is an ultramodern commercial centre that offers copious daylight ingress, and which is expected to attract some 14 million visitors annually. This prominent project comprises some 70,000 m² of commercial space and a further 30,000 m² intended for recreational purposes. Martifer awarded our partner Exuvent the contract to supply the smoke and heat extraction system for this prestigious centre, to ensure that visitors can at least evacuate the premises safely in the event of fire. Large top-hung windows with a big opening angle

The initial projection amounted to 300 top-hung, smoke & heat ventilation windows.However, a closely coordinated approach by Exuvent and Kingspan Light + Air enabled them to reduce this figure to 153 windows in a range of 30 sizes. This was due to the fact that Kingspan Light + Air was able to supply thermally insulated Ventria top-hung windows in large sizes (approx. 1.5 x 3.3 metres) combined with big opening angles (> 61º, which yields optimum Cv values). The glazing weight is 45 kg/m² in this case. Kingspan Light + Air supplied the Ventria top-hung windows with a preassembled, dual compressed air system.
